Reservations for groups
We recommend that you arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the start of the tour. The grounds of the chateau open at 9:45 a.m. The grounds can be opened as early as 9:30 a.m. after telephone agreement. Tours of the interior of the chateau are always with a guide (an employee of the building).
The tour delegate declares that he is acquainted with the individual provisions of the applicable visitor regulations and these reservation conditions and undertakes to respect and comply with their provisions.
We welcome information that affects the course of the tour and requires special consideration on our part, e.g. if there are very young children, seniors with reduced mobility, disabled citizens, etc.

Yes, if you are a group of more than 10 people. Reservations are not provided for smaller groups. For groups of less than 10 people, it is possible to buy tickets online HERE or on site at the chateau box office.

The chateau administration insists on the necessity of confirming the tour, at least three days before arrival at the chateau ticket office. With an indication of the final number of participants. If this is not confirmed, the booking will be cancelled.
- What do I need to make a reservation?

- What is the capacity of the sightseeing tour?
The maximum number is 50 people per tour The capacity inside the chateau is limited to a maximum of 20-25 people. For this reason, we will divide the tour into two groups. Upon arrival, please arrange for participants to be divided into two groups in the courtyard so that we do not linger on the tour.
- What are the payment terms for the tour?
Payment must be made at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour for the whole group. We ask the leaders of the ordered groups to have a pre-selected amount ready to pay the entrance fee, it will significantly speed up their check-in.

Payment is only possible by credit card or in cash in Czech crown. We do not accept payments in foreign currencies.

- How much does it cost to tour the interior of the chateau?

Free entry for group guides:
- Pedagogical supervision (for school groups 1 person per 10 children)
- Guide of an organized group (1 person for the whole group of min. 15 people)
- Is a tour of the chateau possible in a foreign language?
Yes, the tour is possible with a guide and with foreign language texts (in English, German and Russian), which we have available for loan at the chateau ticket office.
In the event that the chateau is not able to provide the required interpretation language, it is possible to provide interpretation to the TA guide or another authorized member of the group. In other cases, the interpretation of the interpretation is not allowed.
Tours of the interior of the chateau are only with a guide and with a foreign language text in English, which can be borrowed at the chateau ticket office for a fee of CZK 20.
- Is the lock wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have disabled access to some parts of the chateau. With a wheelchair, you can easily reach us along the straight line in the courtyard, to the ticket office (we will add a small ramp) + barrier-free WC and to the chateau chapel. Further to the ground floor of the south wing of the chateau, specifically to circuit No. 3, where we have an exhibition dedicated to the memories of the witnesses of the hop brigade in the 1960s and the newly installed exhibition "Hop landscape and the royal city of Žatec" regarding UNESCO. Further to the chateau garden, circuit no. 2, here you can only reach the upper terrace around the chateau building with a wheelchair, but it is still worth visiting the chateau garden with a view of the hop landscape. We recommend calling +420 778 786 747 in advance to have a guide available.
- Can I take photos inside the chateau?
Photography inside the chateau is allowed with restrictions, please do not use flash and selfie sticks inside the grounds. Photography is not allowed in the salons of the west wing of circuit No. 1. The guide will warn you about this in advance.
You can buy a leporelo at the cash desk for CZK 60, where the space is photographed.
- Is it possible to buy souvenirs and refreshments at the chateau ticket office?
Yes, souvenirs and light refreshments can be purchased before and after the chateau tour. Food and drinks are not allowed in the chateau exhibition. For lunch, we recommend a trip to the nearby town of Žatec.
- Do you have a seating area at the chateau?
Yes, we have benches and seating with tables in the chateau courtyard. It is also possible to sit on the benches in the chateau garden circuit no. 2.
- Visiting regulations: HERE
We ask visitors not to leave the sightseeing route during the tour of the chateau, stick to the guide and follow his instructions. It is forbidden to touch the exhibited objects or to endanger the safety of the exhibited exhibits in any way. We strongly request visitors not to damage the walls and murals, knowing the values that the chateau represents. If visitors have canes, they must have rubber ends to protect the historical floor. Walking sticks are not allowed in the expozision.
- Important information:
Ordering mass groups for a tour of historical buildings in advance is a service that allows you to smoothly manage visitor traffic, avoids unnecessary waiting, and gives the group the certainty of entering the tour at the designated time. However, the condition is that the group arrives at the chateau ticket office no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the tour. In the event of a delay in arrival (traffic complications, etc.), please contact us immediately on +420 778 786 747.
If the group does not arrive at the chateau ticket office 15 minutes before the tour without a prior telephone excuse, they lose their right to the reserved time and will be classified according to the operational possibilities on the given day. Please note that group lateness can result in wait times of 60 minutes or more!

- Some useful information:
- Park the bus in the village, where there is a parking machine (approx. 80 m from the chateau along a straight line). He is not allowed to park at the entrance to the chateau (he would have a problem with turning, reversing).
- Use the toilets on the way (petrol pump) we have a limited number of cabins.
- Small refreshments can be purchased at the chateau cashier. For lunch, we recommend a trip to the nearby town of Žatec (approx. 6 km). E.g. restaurant and brewery U Orloje Žatec or cafe MLSNÁ KOZA.
- Tip for the next trip: Hop Museum in Žatec, Temple of Hops and Beer in Žatec, Meder's House in Žatec, Synagogue in Žatec (the second largest in Bohemia), there are also other historical objects under the NPÚ in the vicinity: Krásný Dvůr chateau with a beautiful park, Valeč chateau , Jezeří chateau , Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most, Duchcov chateau. Poláky chateau, Peruc chateau and Chýše chateau are in private hands. Also Nový Hrad chateau near Jimlín (founder of Ústecký kraj) and Pátek chateau (founder of Peruc village). Another attraction in the vicinity is the Menhir Zakletý Mnich near Drahomyšl or the unfinished Gothic monastery Temple in Panenský Týnec.
